1.1
CPEPC Overall Structure — Maintain
small, focused Board of Directors composed of sectoral
representatives.
1.2
Sectoral Groups — Ensure that
sectoral interests are represented effectively through the
continuation of strong sectoral groups.
1.3
Government Relations — Enhance
CPEPC Vision / Mission / Goals by way of government relations
characterized by effective consultation and collaboration.
1.4
“Other Stakeholder” Policies — Seek
to align policies of all other stakeholders to be compatible with
CPEPC policies through pro-active and co-operative relationships.
1.5
Action Plans — Priorize issues
annually and develop specific and measurable action plans. |
2.1
Promote an industry environment
leading to increased competitiveness.
2.2
WTO — Advocate that government
positions / policies with respect to international trade are
consistent with government positions / policies regarding supply
management and do not render the Canadian industry non-viable.
2.3
Promote the development of food
safety programs which provide sustained confidence in the safety of
products sold to Canadian consumers and internationally by CPEPC
members. |
3.1
Supply Management — Promote
adoption of legislation / policies that fairly balance stakeholder
interests within the Canadian feather industry.
3.2
Other Regulatory Matters
(Inspection standards, health and safety, etc.) – Promote
legislation and policy development consistent with the Vision /
Mission / Goals of CPEPC to achieve predictability, sustainability
and a level playing field regarding legislative and regulatory
matters. |
